Meet Habit, a unique artist who prefers to keep their name, anonymous, whose roots in the vibrant music scene of El Centro have shaped his journey into the world of rap. Growing up in Calexico, he was surrounded by diverse sounds and influences, laying the foundation for his distinctive blend of English and Spanish lyrics.

From an early age, Habit was drawn to the allure of music icons, envisioning himself as a rock star or rapper. Eminem was his first idol, igniting a passion for lyricism and storytelling. But it was artists like Mac Miller and Tyler, The Creator who truly resonated with him, inspiring him to carve out his own path in the industry.

“i've been writing rap since i was like an adolescence since i was like a kid” he states “old i think i put my first song out i know i put my first song out in 2014 because it's been officially 10 years since i put my first soundcloud song out” habit also pointed out that he has been in the industry and actually take it seriously for about a year as this is his main source of income.

Habit gave props to his uncles who immersed him in the music of the ’80s, Habit honed his craft, mastering the art of flow in a way that set him apart. Their guidance proved invaluable as he sought to create a sound that was uniquely his own.

Despite the challenges he faced, Habit’s determination never wavered. When Rich Bum Records, under the same owner of Latino Film Mafia, offered him a record deal, he seized the opportunity with both hands. “this industry is heartbreaking honestly, if you can’t endure that heartbreak. Like you’re not gonna last in it, the hardest thing in this industry is that I had to go completely broke I had to in a way lose my family” habit, states in an interview with 760 news media, he also mentions that that he had to make a lot of sacrifices to get to where he is now
