The story of IV irony one of the biggest Meme pages in the imperial Valley

Ivirony, one of the most popular meme pages on Instagram in the Imperial Valley, has sadly come to an end as the owner of the page has gone off to college.

In this article, we will provide an exclusive backstory of Imperial Valley Irony, one of the biggest Instagram meme pages in the Valley.

In the year 2022, a high school senior, who wishes to remain anonymous, created the page. He explained, "I was fed up with living in the valley and had a lot of problems with it, mainly the heat and the manure smell, which led me to create the page we all know today, 'Iv Irony.'" The page quickly gained a large following, amassing over 12,000 followers on Instagram. He stated that the first few memes on the page mainly focused on highlighting the drawbacks of the Valley and the lack of things to do. However, it was a meme about his local high school that caught on and gained him most of his popularity.

As with most endeavors, you have to start somewhere. He noted that each week, he gained more and more followers. He said, "That giant storm hit around the same time, and I posted about the boat man, which exploded. The post received around 1,000 likes, and we gained 500 followers within the first few days after posting." He shared this in an exclusive interview with 760 News.

Soon after, the creator of the page shifted to creating more stereotypical memes, which he found to be more enjoyable to make and more appealing to a wider audience. The same was true for high school memes, although they sometimes stirred up drama and fights. After the creator graduated from high school, he decided to stop making high school memes as they caused too much controversy.

He shifted towards a more relatable and commentary style, which was a safer approach and attracted a new audience. He recalled that his most viral video was an Instagram clip of a person throwing a plant into a target. This video went viral and garnered him over 10,000 followers. He also mentioned that he had to disable comments on some of his posts due to people becoming overly political.

"Summer was where I made a lot of connections. I started going out and promoting the page at shows and events, and I met many people through them. It made me feel connected to the community," he said. What began as a joke turned into one of the biggest Instagram pages in the Imperial Valley, and he expressed pride in what the page had become. He chose not to hand the page over to anyone else because he didn't want the humor to lose its charm in the wrong hands. He did offer it to one person, but they declined for personal reasons.

Although the page didn't generate significant revenue, even though he had merchandise and a store where he would print and sell the merch. He stated that the income was not substantial, and not many people purchased the merchandise. He considered it more of a hobby than a business.

He also mentioned that he doesn't plan on posting more content but will occasionally check in on how the page is doing.
