Lizzy’s Asadero Neighborhood Celebrates Grand Opening in El Centro
EL CENTRO – Lizzy’s Asadero Neighborhood officially opened its doors at 1427 Adams Ave. on March 20, 2025, bringing its well-loved flavors to a new location. The grand opening, hosted by the Brawley Chamber of Commerce, included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a warm welcome from community members and local officials.
Lizzy’s Asadero Neighborhood offers a mix of Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, fajitas, and even pizza. The restaurant has built a strong reputation for quality food and a welcoming atmosphere, something it hopes to continue in El Centro.
El Centro Mayor Pro-Tem Sonia Carter reflected on the restaurant’s journey, sharing how it began as a small meat market in 2013 before expanding into a well-loved eatery. “This family-owned restaurant started as a small meat market in 2013 and grew into a beloved spot known for quality and care in every single meal,” Carter said. “More than just a restaurant, it is dedicated to bringing people together and creating lasting memories through food.” She also expressed excitement about its expansion. “Their move to El Centro is a highlight for us,” she added.
Brawley Chamber of Commerce CEO Ramiro Urias also attended the event and shared his enthusiasm. “We’re happy to be here today for the grand opening of Lizzy’s Asadero,” Urias said.
Erasmo Gonzalez, a Brawley Chamber of Commerce ambassador and community leader, praised the restaurant’s food. “The food is amazing, I would definitely come here again,” he said.
Lizzy’s Asadero Neighborhood has already made a name for itself in local competitions, winning first place in the 2024 Brawley Chili Cook-Off, hosted by the Brawley Chamber of Commerce. Their rich and authentic Mexican chili stood out among competitors, further emphasizing their reputation for quality and taste.
