Calexico Law Enforcement arrests Burglary Duo in Swift Response

Calexico, CA - In a week marked by criminal activity, local officers successfully apprehended two suspects involved in separate commercial burglaries, showcasing the efficiency of their response and commitment to public safety.

The first incident unfolded when officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm, discovering a shattered window and a ransacked office. A thorough search of the premises led to the apprehension of Juan Carlos Estrada, a 42-year-old transient from Calexico. He was taken into custody after officers found him fleeing the scene with various stolen items from the burglarized office.

Shortly thereafter, a second commercial burglary alarm prompted officers to a business with a shattered glass door. The suspect, identified as George Ramos Cazares, a 35-year-old Mexicali resident, was swiftly located nearby. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect prowling the property, shattering the glass door, and making off with a cash register.

Officers wasted no time in detaining Cazares, and the stolen cash register was successfully recovered and returned to its rightful owner. The efficient actions of law enforcement underscored their dedication to maintaining the safety and security of local businesses.

Both suspects now face charges of commercial burglary, highlighting the community’s collaborative efforts with law enforcement to ensure that justice is served.
