Breakfast with Santa Brings Joy to Brawley Community

For the past three years, Denise and Josh Lorona, owners of Breakout Fitness and 805 in Brawley, have hosted a heartwarming holiday tradition that brings smiles to families in the Northend of the Imperial Valley. The annual “Breakfast with Santa” event features a pancake breakfast, a toy raffle, and the eagerly awaited arrival of Santa Claus himself.

This year, the magic began as Santa rolled into 805 on a Brawley fire truck, greeted by cheers and excitement from children and parents alike. The Loronas shared the inspiration behind the event, explaining that their goal is to give back to a part of the Valley that often feels overlooked.

“The Northend is underrepresented when compared to Imperial, El Centro, and even Heber,” they said. “We understand that many of the youth here are overlooked, and we wanted to find a way to show them they are thought of.”

The idea for “Breakfast with Santa” was born out of a conversation between the couple about how to make a meaningful impact in their community. They decided on a tradition that combines holiday cheer with community support, ensuring that local children feel valued and included.

“We plan to continue this tradition for years to come,” the Loronas added.

The event also featured a toy raffle, providing children with gifts to take home and spreading holiday joy even further. With the community’s support, the Loronas have created a cherished annual celebration that highlights the importance of giving back and fostering connection in the Northend.

As the smell of pancakes filled the air and the laughter of children echoed through 805, it was clear that the Loronas’ commitment to their community has made a lasting impact. Their vision of bringing holiday magic to Brawley ensures that every child feels the spirit of the season, one pancake and gift at a time.
