Florida Man's Death Linked to Panera's Charged Lemonade, Second Lawsuit Filed
A lawsuit filed against Panera Bread alleges that a Florida man, Dennis Brown, died after consuming three servings of the heavily caffeinated beverage, Charged Lemonade. This marks the second lawsuit connecting the beverage to a fatality.
According to the wrongful-death lawsuit filed by Mr. Brown's mother, sister, and brother in Delaware Superior Court, the 46-year-old suffered a "cardiac event" and passed away in October while walking home from a Panera Bread in Fleming Island, Florida.
Panera responded with a statement expressing sympathy for Mr. Brown's family and asserting confidence in the safety of their products. The company stated that, based on their investigation, they believe Mr. Brown's unfortunate passing was not caused by one of their products. Panera deems the lawsuit, filed by the same law firm as a previous claim, to be equally without merit.
This development raises concerns about the safety of Panera's Charged Lemonade and prompts further scrutiny regarding its potential health risks.
