Exclusive statement given directly to 760 news

"Superstars", directed by Smitty, drops on April 28th.

"I wrote this song on accident not gonna lie. It started off as my producer and I just messing around with the instrumental, then I ended up writing an actual hook.

We both agreed that it had potential but after working on it for about an hour or 2, i had nothing. I told him I was just gonna sell it to a rapper or something... but after some time of thinking, we went back to the song and 1 started spitting a verse. I remember around that time.. i was super stressed out with tour and the trajectory of my career.. i was not in a good mental state, and my lyrics heavily reflect that. I'm not a rapper and I make that very clear to everyone, I just kinda do it for fun because all of my favorite artists happen to be rappers. My producer & my friends were hyping me up meanwhile, and I started to feel really comfortable with my flow and my voice so we eventually ended up finishing the song." - quote from Jay Roxxx's
