15-year-old Suspect Arrested in Connection to Brawley Shooting After Being Found in Yuma
Yuma, AZ - A 15-year-old suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred in Brawley on January 25, 2025, has been arrested in Yuma, Arizona. Authorities say the individual was located after an arrest warrant was issued following a thorough investigation by the Brawley Police Department.
According to the district attorney’s office, the suspect was 14-years old at the time of the shooting and is now 15-years old, Limited information about the identity of the minor Was released.
The shooting took place at the Chevron gas station on the 900 block of Main Street, where a 21-year-old man was shot multiple times. Surveillance footage from the scene helped investigators identify the suspect, and an arrest warrant was swiftly obtained.
On the afternoon of January 30, 2025, around 6 PM law enforcement officers tracked the suspect to Yuma, where he was taken into custody without incident. The suspect, whose name has not been released, will be extradited to Imperial County, California, to face charges of attempted murder.
