La Gente Car Club hosts show and shine event for those lost on January 8th

recently Imperial Valley residence and people from afar attended a car show organized by La Gente Car Club, a nationwide group with a local chapter. Martin Zamora, the club's historian in the Imperial Valley, shared that the main aim of the event was to bring the community together and pay tribute to those who tragically lost their lives on January 8th.

This event was not any typical car show as all vehicles were welcome from Bicycles to off-road cars and Low riders, everyone and everything was welcome. participants of this event paid a $40 entry fee, which was a donation to the families that were affected by this terrible tragedy.

The Imperial Valley chapter of La Gente Car Club has members from all around the region, with a significant presence in Brawley, California according to Martin Zamora. Instead of focusing on awards, the event prioritized remembering the impact of a tragic incident and providing support to those affected.

People from various parts of the Imperial Valley attended, turning the event into a moment of collective mourning and support. the event aimed to go beyond a typical car show and create a memorable experience that emphasized community togetherness.

but not just La Gente Car Club attended this event Multiple other car, clubs and motorcycle groups as well and lots more attended this event.

A notable aspect of the event was the participation of diverse vendors like Thump Records, PK'S, Nuestras Raices, Eantonios Baja Catch, and The Three Brothers Tacos. These vendors added vibrancy to the event, contributing to the overall sense of community involvement.

Raffles were a highlight, featuring exciting prizes like a custom Raiders bicycle. The raffles, along with the offerings from various vendors, added an extra layer of excitement and engagement for attendees.

As the event came to a close, a Florica group took the stage, treating the audience to captivating dances. The announcement of raffle winners served as a fitting end to an event that successfully achieved its goal of bringing people together in remembrance and solidarity.
