Innercare’s $36 receives a Million Loan Agreement to Build a PACE Center in Imperial

In a significant development for Imperial and Riverside Counties in California, Innercare, a non-profit organization, has secured a $36 million loan agreement for the construction of a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Center in Imperial. This project aims to provide comprehensive medical, social, and wellness services to senior citizens, allowing them to age in place.

Location and Facilities:

The PACE Center will be situated on a 24-acre site at the northeast corner of Neckel Road and Highway 86 in Imperial. The construction is overseen by Gafcon Inc., the same firm responsible for the development of a 108-room Cambria Hotel in the area.

State-of-the-Art Facilities:

Within the PACE Center, a state-of-the-art clinic, a dedicated area for senior care, and a pharmacy are planned. Notably, the project places a strong emphasis on sustainability, utilizing construction techniques and materials designed to conserve water and electricity.

About Innercare:

Innercare, also known as Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, is a private, non-profit organization with a history of serving low-income and uninsured populations in the region. Their services include dental care, women’s health, and telehealth.

Financial Backing:

The loan agreement was established between Innercare and the North American Development Bank (NADBank), providing $36 million in financing. This support is part of a New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) transaction, geared toward promoting affordable housing and community development projects.

The PACE Center project is expected to generate jobs and enhance access to quality healthcare services for seniors in the region.
